)I get excited when I discover music like this because this album is one I have had on constant repeat since I first heard it and I practically know all the lyrics to each song, not by effort of learning, but just by subconsciously singing back to myself when each track was played. I randomly decided to research about this artist when Steve Jobs played a mere clippit of the track “Bubbly” when doing one of his keynote presentations. I don’t exactly know why, but on a complete whim I decided to check out the whole album and I’m incredibly glad I did. This music is the very definition of easy-listening. Think a brighter spin of Norah Jones. Think airy. Think summer. I can’t put my finger on what distinguishes her from the sea of other female singer-songwriters out there but there is something really genuine in her voice – it never sounds forced or contrived, and the mood always sounds very natural and carefree. Here are my two picks from the album.
